What is Briggs & Co.?

Briggs & Co. is an AI-powered advisory platform with four distinct characters: Oscar Briggs (strategy), Emmett Briggs (ideas), Harry (content) and Lina Briggs (The Anchor — the human side of building). Each advisor has genuine personality, specific expertise, and access to a knowledge base built from Stuart Lunn's books, courses and blog content.

How is this different from ChatGPT?

Briggs & Co. is not a general-purpose AI. Three things make it fundamentally different. First, every conversation draws on a specific knowledge base built from The Unfounded's content library, Stuart Lunn's book, 200 video lessons, and years of founder-specific content. Second, all three advisors have access to live web search, so they can find current grants, verify statistics, research competitors, and surface real-time market data rather than relying on potentially outdated training data. Third, the advisors have genuine distinct personalities and expertise, Oscar diagnoses, Emmett generates, Harry creates content, and Lina focuses on your wellbeing. You get a team of specialists, not a generalist assistant.

Do I need to know how to use AI?

No. You just have a conversation. Tell Oscar, Emmett, Harry or Lina what you're working on and they'll take it from there. No prompts to learn, no templates to fill.

Is it free to start?

Yes. Your first 3 days are free, no credit card required. After that, choose a plan or your access pauses. Paid plans unlock extended usage and additional features.

Who should I talk to first?

It depends what you need. Oscar is best for strategy, diagnosis and hard truths. Emmett is best when you need ideas, creative angles or someone to challenge conventional thinking. Harry is best when you need content, keywords, blogs, social posts, video scripts. Lina is best when things feel heavy — when you need someone to talk to about burnout, exhaustion, or the parts of building that nobody says out loud.

Can I switch between advisors in the same conversation?

Yes. The toggle in the top of the chat lets you switch at any point. Context is carried over so the new advisor knows what you've already covered.

Is Oscar really that blunt?

Yes. Oscar will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. He does it with warmth and genuine care, but he won't soften his position to protect your comfort. That's the point.

Is Harry actually a monkey?

Yes. A sentient monkey who is also the best content strategist you have ever encountered. Nobody questions it anymore.

Can Briggs & Co. generate documents?

Yes. Ask any advisor to produce a business plan, financial model, content strategy, or any other structured output and they will write it in full, then offer to package it as a branded Word document or Excel spreadsheet.

Can I attach documents for the advisors to read?

Yes. The paperclip button in the input bar lets you attach PDFs, Word documents, plain text files and Excel spreadsheets. The advisor reads it and factors it into the conversation.

Can I share links?

Yes. Paste a URL and the advisor will ask if you want it read before responding. Say yes and it fetches the content and uses it as context.

What are forked threads?

When a conversation moves into a new topic, you can fork it, creating a focused sub-thread that carries the relevant context from the main conversation. Nothing is lost and you can return to either thread at any time.

Is my conversation data secure?

Yes. Your conversations are stored against your unique user account and are not accessible to other users. Row Level Security is enforced at the database level. See our privacy policy for full details.

Does Briggs & Co. use my data to train AI models?

No. Your conversation data is not used to train any AI models. It is stored solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us via the contact page.

Who can see my conversations?

Only you. As the platform operator, we have administrative access to the database infrastructure but your conversations are yours. We do not read, share or sell your conversation data.
